Writing Creative Non-Fiction
Many of the people that read this blog, are bloggers themselves and spend numerous hours writing non-fiction. But, have you ever considered selling any of your articles? Writing fiction and poetry gives me an outlet for my creative side, whereas non-fiction tends to be mundane.
However, there is a book that will help you work your creative side with non-fiction. The Art of Creative Nonfiction by Lee Gutkind will help in making that non-fiction article come alive. It’s written in a way that shows readers how to keep on top of the facts, while still making the piece personal.
This book also gives you an insight as to how to deal with literary agents and editors, gives you ideas on how to find topics that will land you a sale, and will show you tips on how to conduct the perfect interview.
Writing non-fiction is both challenging and highly rewarding. If you’ve ever considered trying to get some of your non-fiction articles into mainstream publications, this is the one book that will show you how to do so, and how to be creative in your work. Editors are always on the look out for articles that stand out above the rest, and with this book, you can write that article.

Christine, I don’t know if this is very relevant to the topic of the post. But I am very conscious of my work. I do quite a bit of guest blogging on other sites… some for free others I get paid to do so. Recently, my experience on Blogging Fingers came to and end. However, before I left, I pulled an XML backup of my work and uploaded that raw data to my server and then burned it in FeedBurner.
On Jan. 12th 2008 at 1201 AM CST I will have a post going live titled, “How To Protect Your Content When Guest Blogging“… that will show people how to protect your data and preserve it for the long haul.
Right now if you visit the post, it should return a 404, that is normal and as soon as the post goes live, you’ll be able to access it from here.
