Believe it or not, I just hit the 40,000 word mark.  I’m going to do this, I’m going to meet my challenge, and I’m going to hit the 50K mark BEFORE November 30th. 

This is a milestone for me.  Last year, I couldn’t even get half way, and now, I’m just under 10,000 words away from my target.  I’m very happy with myself.  However, that doesn’t mean I’ve just spent the past month writing the best novel ever written.  No, not likely. 

Once the challenge is over, comes the hard part; editing.  I can edit the work of others with no problems.  My own work, however, is a different story.  I can’t think about that right now, though.  I have to get back to work.  In order to be back on track, I need to hit 42,500 before the day is over.  I’m going to try and go over that mark.  That way, I’ll be above the minimum limit, and that will make it easier to reach my goal.

Now if you will excuse me, I have a queen who’s ready to pick a fight with a general.  (that’s all I’m saying)

UPDATE: I just hit 43,000.  I’m done for the day, as my eyes have officially crossed and have become stuck in that position.  I’m going to do this.  I’m way to close now to give up.  I only have 7,000 words to go and 5 days to do it in.  I KNOW I CAN, I KNOW I CAN!!!
