End of year thank yous
The end of 2007 is almost upon us and we are all getting ready for a brand new year and all the great things that come with it. This post is for everyone who’s helped me, befriended me, and stood by me throughout this past year.
I really got into this whole blogging thing last March, and I’ve learned a lot since that time. There are a lot of people I need to thank for this and a few who I just need to mention for their inspirations and kindness.
First of all, I have to say thank you to one of my best friends, Garry Conn. When I first met Garry, I knew nothing about SEO’s and SERP’s. In the few short months of working with him, I’ve come to understand a few of the backend workings of how to make money with my blogs.
Next, I have to thank the coolest Aussie in cyberspace, BlogSire. It’s because of Sire that I got started in the blogging business to begin with. I met this gentleman through a social blogging network, and soon became one of his regular readers at his personal blog. This is the person I need to say thank you to for introducing me to this world.
Next on my list is Matt Huggins. Though he doesn’t do a lot of blogging anymore, Matt was one of the first professional bloggers I had the honor of meeting. It was through Matt’s blog that I got the idea to start my first real blog and learned the various ways of monetizing it. Matt is now creating applications for FaceBook. He has created an application called Ad-Libs, and I was very honored when he asked me to help him write up a few of the first ones. Thanks Huggie, you’re still my hero.
I want to thank Mark Sierra simply for his wit and humor. Mark is one of the coolest guys I’ve met and a very talented writer, designer, and entrepeneur. He designed a header for one of my blogs out of the kindness of his heart, and I have to give a shout out to him. HEY MARK!!!
Others I want to thank are Brown Baron, who’s sense of humor is second to none. Bush Mackel for his knack of popping in when I least expect it. And a special thanks to Tish and Mike of BlogsWeLuv, for making me feel like part of the gang. I also have a very special thanks to Silken, who has to be one of the sweetest ladies online. And I want to thank Collin for his kindness and honesty. This guy is a brilliant artist and a terrific writer. Keep it up, Collin.
Finally, I want to say thank you to Pandi. Though I’ve only met this person, it was the sweet comment left on my last post that inspired this post. Thank you for making me realize that there is someone out there who enjoys reading my work. I’m sure I’ve missed several people that I should be thanking, and if I’ve missed any of you, please know that I appreciate everything you’ve done and said that has brought me to this point.
If 2008 is only half as good as 2007, I’ll be a happy blogger.
Thank you all,
Christine

yeaahh keep the spirit.. and for ur knowledge i have added u to my blog roll.
Thanks hon. That is so sweet of you.
Now reading this list totally inspires me to keep plugging away. This is awesome Christine. You really mean a lot to me and I very much love our friendship together. I can’t tell you how much you make some of my late nights in the CyberWorld so much better as we crack jokes in Yahoo Instant Messenger and share so many wonderful ideas together. One day it would be very cool for our families to meet for a weekend event.
It is so cool how we have so much in common and share such similar interests. I have to admit that you are one of my best Internet friends. It is really strange too, because I have been on the Internet for years… and I have never really made friends on the Internet until I started blogging.
I have a lot of friends online, I really do… and society says that you should not play favorites, but I am not one to be very politically correct. You are my favorite and always will be.
We work so well together, we joke and have so much fun and together we have such a healthy business / personal relationship that its just not funny. We have never fought or argued about anything. We always are open minded with each other and we both listen to what the other says. Sometimes I feel like we were twins that got separated at birth.
As far as the whole list goes… I have to agree with you. Matt Huggins is a very skillful and intelligent person, Mark Sierra… oh man, where do I begin with Mark? LOL!!! Mark is awesome! I have a very close connection with Mark, as he is becoming a very close Internet friend as well. Brown and Bush… same thing, absolutely wonderful people!
The funny part is that I know everyone on this list! It is amazing how many people and faces I keep up with and talk to! Blogging is so much fun and I never would have expected that the social aspect of it would have become such a major part of it for me. I really enjoy meeting and talking with so many people.
Thanks again for creating this thank you list and thank you for including me and thank you for including everyone who appears on it as well… I’ll be adding everyone of these folks into my Google Reader.
I very much look forward to 2008 and even more knowing that you will be here right next to me just plugging away!
Here is to our continued success together!
Thanks again,
Best Regards,
Garry Conn
Thank you honey. I agree about the whole seperated at birth thing. It’s weird how much we have in common. I never had a brother, but I think of you in that way. And our working relationship is something I cherish every day I’m online.
I know I forgot a ton of people, and I feel bad about that, but I had to cut the list off somewhere. I wanted to add everyone I’ve met in the past year, but that would have taken me forever to post. LOL
The things we’ve accomplished together in the past few months is so remarkable that I had to make sure you were at the top of the list. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for you and the work we’ve done together. I think it would be totally cool if our families could get together for a weekend.
And I too, look forward to the coming year and all the things we’re going to be doing as a team. This is going to be the best year yet, and it’s because of how well we work together. I could have never gotten this far without you, and I owe you so much more than a mere thank you.
Now, let’s get back to work. LOLOLOL
It is so funny how things happen at the right time… I really needed to see a post like this. It makes me feel a lot better. Blogging during the holidays was pretty intense for me, I am glad that its coming to an end so I can focus on our continued development. 2008 is going to be awesome for us!

Hi, Christine!
Thanks for the mention. And you are very welcome. I’m happy that you decided to be part of BWL.
Happy New Year!
Nice post Christine. It sure sounds like you and Garry have really found a nice groove in working together.
Good luck on your future endeavors, I will be following your progress.
I want to thank you for all those writing prompts you’ve done for us throughout the year. It’s been great reading your blog. Can’t wait to begin 2008 with you and a few of the other bloggers. May it brink luck to many of us.
Dear Christine,
From one pen-a-holic to another, thank you for the inspration and reassurance you’ve given me. I was getting discouraged to the point of quitting, and now I have renewed motivation, thanks to you and, of course, Garry.
They say an ‘Attitude of Gratitude’ is the secret to success. You have that attitude in abundance.
Here’s to more friends and more success in 2008!

Christine, you’re the best! Thanks so much for your kind words. I’ve enjoyed getting to know you this year. You make writing seem so easy. It’s people like yourself who inspire me and make me think that I can actually make a go of all this blogging stuff.
Hey Mark,
You are so welcome. If I had half your designing talent to pair up with my writing abilities, I’d own the world. LOLOLOL
Thanks for the comment, and for all the things you’ve done for me this past year.
OMG, Eliza. I hope you know that I meant thank yous for you too. As soon as I saw your name in my email this morning, I thought “Crap”
I can’t wait for 2008 either. As part of the team, you and I are going to be working very closely together, and I can’t hardly wait for that. You have also been a big part of my blogging experience in the past few months, and I have to admit that you are one of the best writers I’ve come across as far as bloggers go.
I am really looking forward to the coming year. After all, I’m going to need someone to help me slap the snot out of Garry. LOL
@ Brennan Don’t get frustrated. I can tell you from experience that it is going to be ok. Sometimes things go real slow and you just have to be patient. 2008 is going to be a great year for all of us and you are going to be part of it. Whoo Hoo!!!!
@ Tish I keep meaning to get an article written for you and the next thing I know is the day is over and I didn’t get it done again. I’m so very honored that you and Mike want me to be a part of your super blog, and I promise that I will get something done for you guys asap.
@ Cary Thank you so much. Your kindness is so very much appreciated.
Hi praise from such a talented person Christine, I feel humbled that you could think so highly of a poor Aussie who merely showed you the possibility of the blogging world. You did the rest on your own. I wish you all the best for 2008.
Thanks hon. You did more than show me the possibilities, you gave me hope in the idea of moving in a new direction. It’s a direction I’ve never regretted.
Sire, you were the very first blogging friend I made, and you’re one that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Besides, if I remember correctly, we have a double date to keep. LOL
Now that is a fantastic way to get mentioned!! As to Mark and Bush .. I think those guys are my brothers from another planet haha. Garry? Another great crazy blogger.
Thanks for being a great friend Christine. It just goes to show, you don’t have to be sane to have real friends.
One of these days when we all get locked up in padded cells, we’ll all be there; you, Garry, me, Mark, Bush, and all the other crazies. Fun times for sure heh.
Whoo Hoo!!! Padded cells. Sounds like a party to me.
Thanks Baron, I concider it an honor to be one of the crazies with you.
