About Christine
Christine Senter is a wife, mother, freelance writer, and Scout Master. She has been married to a wonderful man since May of 1990 and has 2 teenaged children, ages 17 and 14. She is a member of her son’s Boy Scout troop as the Scout Master, and sits on the Boy Scout committee.
Christine began writing when she was in the fourth grade. One of her assignments was to write a story using our names. At the time, my her last name was Wickwire, so she created a burglar alarm using candle wick and barbed wire. She received an A on the assignment and an undying urge to keep writing.
She had her first poem published in 1993, in a poetry chapbook published by a small publisher in Texas. Within a couple of years, she had had 2 more poems published in print.
In 1996, Christine received her first computer and began researching the various sites for writers. She found a site called Suite 101 and met a young woman by the name of Shery Ma Belle Arrieta. Shery ran a workshop called Beginning Writers, in which Christine enrolled.
Within that same year, Christine had finished the class and had begun writing a column at Shery’s site, The E-Writer’s Place. The column was called “The Write Sites”, and reviewed different sites for the freelance writing community.
In 1997, Christine became a content provider for a site called WebseedPublishing.com. The company provided dot com names for their writers, and Christine began writing for FindingTheFather.com, where she wrote articles focusing on finding God in modern society.
In 1998, Christine took over an abandoned site within Webseed, called PlantLore.com, where she wrote articles about the histories, mysteries, and myths of the plant kingdom. In less than a year, WebseedPublishing.com went out of business, and Christine lost both sites.
She continued writing for The E-Writer’s Place, as well as having several poems and short stories published throughout the Internet for several more years, and in 2003, she began writing her first newsletter for writers called The Prompt Writer. In it she offered 5 writing prompts, or ideas, every week. A year later she bought the domain name and started offering 20 different writing prompts every other week.
Today, Christine writes several blogs, including The Sapheyerblu Review and Redhead Rants. Currently, she is working with Garry Conn on both BlogWheels.com and CelebrityVideosBlog.com.
